Agribusiness is a critical partner in SART's efforts across the nation. Business Continuity Planning for agribusiness is essential to saving costly losses associated with disasters. SART provides agribusiness with a seat at the table with local and state authorities in planning and responding for emergencies.

All agribusiness must prepare for both natural disasters, as well as intentional acts of terror. The Center for Food Security and Public Health is a national resource for food security planning. Agribusiness partners are encouraged to develop comprehensive disasters plans in cooperation with state and local response teams.

The SART® Service Mark

North Carolina Animal Relief Fund owns the service mark SART and two trademark registrations for the SART mark, Registration Nos. 2,532,295 and 2,625,144. This is a very valuable mark and symbolizes the goodwill associated with the animal emergency services offered by the North Carolina Animal Relief Fund. The SART mark should only be used by authorized licensees. Unauthorized use leads to public confusion and constitutes trademark infringement under both state and federal trademark laws.
